DISCOVER YOUR PATH

DALConnects is a free student leadership program offered to all Dalhousie and Kings students.  The program combines exciting and informative workshops, events, leadership retreats and conferences with valuable volunteer work experience.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS

Workshops

A workshop schedule is offered throughout the academic year and you accumulate points from your attendance and participation.  The workshops are themed into 4 categories: Foundational leadership, Career Development, Organizational leadership and Social Justice.  The more workshops you attend, the higher the recognition you receive.  Visit the event calendar on mycareer.dal.ca  to view the full workshop schedule

Volunteer Work

Students in the program must complete a minimum of 20 volunteer hours in order to full fill the program requirements.  Browse our Community Partners to explore organizations you can potentially volunteer with

Leadership Retreats

Each semester, DALConnects students pack up and leave campus on one of our leadership retreats.  Popular retreats include a day on the high and low ropes adventure course,   and the winter wilderness survival excursion.

Conferences

As part of the program, you are encouraged to participate in the Dal Lead! Conference and you also have the opportunity to travel to attend the East Coast Student Leadership Conference.

Capstone Project

For the past 2 years,  students that have completed the DALConnects program have lead the planning and coordination of the successful Dal Lead! The Dalhousie Student Leadership Conference.
