***NEW IN 2022 - NO MORE PHYSICAL PARKING PERMITS*****

Dalhousie has contracted with HotSpot for parking services in 2022-2023. Individual license plates will now indicate whether or not you have paid for parking. This is called a VIRTUAL PERMIT.

To purchase a permit (Annual or term), you will use the HotSpot website.
To purchase short-term parking, use the HotSpot App on your phone. (There is a small fee to use the HotSpot App.)

The Agricultural Campus does not require a parking permit. Vehicles do not need to be registered. For those from the AC who travel to Halifax Campus please use short term parking through the HotSpot app.

Accessible and Reserved parking spaces require special permits and are not for general use. Ownership of a permit is not transferable. Only one permit per person allowed but more than one license plate may be added to an account for those who own more than one vehicle.

Parking pass support is available by calling HotSpot at 1-855-712-5888

Your license plate is now seen as your parking permit.

We sell more general permits than we have spots to allow for people who come and go from campus throughout the day. Refunds are available for all types of parking permits within 30 days of purchase.

Only those who purchase RESERVED Virtual Permits are guaranteed a spot.
