Are you a first-year student or a student starting a new program or degree?
Come visit us! Students don’t always come to an appointment with an in-progress paper. Many students book an appointment to get a better understanding of university writing expectations or writing in a new program. It’s a great chance to have an informal chat about writing and any concerns you may have, and you will have made a connection with an advisor you may like to meet with again, and, we’d love to meet you!

Welcome to the Writing Centre!
The Writing Centre offers writing support in all subjects to students in undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, from first-year assignments to final reports and dissertations. We meet with students one-to-one to discuss their work, and we also offer workshops, seminars, and other special events to support student writing, including grad writing weeks and supplemental classes designed to support students in writing-intensive courses.
Our goal at the Writing Centre is to support students to write independently; in doing so, we are happy to provide feedback on any step of the writing process including pre-writing, structure, grammar, punctuation, and citation, but the Writing Centre is not a proofreading or copyediting service.

Hours:
September 6th-16th, 2022
10AM-3PM Atlantic time, with additional appointment times available by request.
September 19th, 2022 onward
10AM-5PM Atlantic time, 5-6PM available online, with additional appointment times available by request.
